Genre:Prog Metal

Quality & Originality:Invisible, The Dead is was written by the bands singer Mark Kennedy and produced by Teramaze's Dean Wells. This thrashy metal infused prog metal masterpiece blends the best of both of them genre's. I love how high octane this album is almost expecting more of a rough voice and then these almost Rob Halford style voicals come screaming out at times is simply mind blowing. This is such a well put together and produced album that is so original that it almost deserves its own genre.

My Opinion:To say I was blown away on this album is the understatement of the century. Damnations Day is a serious heavy band with such a balance that fans of everything from Metal Curch and Accept to Hammerfall and Nightmare will all have a blast rocking and headbanging to this melodic masterpiece of bad ass metal. This is one of them bands where you are already itching to get another album from cause you cannot wait to see where they are going to go from here!! If you have not heard this band I can promise you that you will!!!

Overall & Favorites:The Meaning, Invisible The Dead, Reflections. I give this album a 9/10 cause my arm was to tired from fist pumping the air to aim it even higher. This is a headbangers paradise album!!!!

Genre: Prog/Power Metal

Label:Nightmare Records

Location:Melbourne Australia

Quality & Originality:Esoteric Symbolism is a powerful magical prog metal album that the band has pulled all the punches on. From the time that ''All Seeing Eye'' starts till the album is done each song has such a great presence to it. The songs are so well written and has so many great layers on it. The production is about as tight as you will ever get on any album you will ever hear. Nathan has one of the greatest Prog metal voices I have ever heard with it being so soft and powerful one second and then so firm and tight the next. This is about as original as you can get but still fits right into everything you would expect from the greatest prog metal in the land.

My Opinion:I am so totally blown away with this album. I get so many bands from the prog metal genre across my desk all the time and most of them being really good most of them never reach the level of what this album offers. Teramaze have really pulled out a album that will go down in my mind as one of the greatest prog metal albums of all time. The band held back nothing from some songs being really fast one sec and very light and airy the next taking you on a ride of a lifetime. I like that the band really keeps you on your toes. This truly is a rocking over the top bad ass album that will be in my mp3 player for as long as I can see!! Check this album out if you have not already!!!

Overall & Favorites:Line Of Symmetry, Spawn, Bodies Of Betrayl. I give this superior album a very high 9/10 with it burning a spot into my soul for a very long time!!!!

Formed:2012

Genre:Heavy Metal/Hard Rock

Label:Mausoleum Records

Promotion:Rock N Growl

Quality & Originality:Megasonic is such a gifted band and Intense is a huge ball of Rock, Metal, 80'S Metal, Prog, Power. It is almost impossible to stick them into any genre cause they have broke the mold on what a ''Normal'' band should be and are doing it there way. They are extremely unique but have so many influence from the past and present bands out there. The album was mixed by Jeroen De Bock and mastered by the bands own Dimitri Verhoeven. I am such a huge fan of the riffs on this album they are all over but in such a killer metal way. This is a band you will not forget.

My Opinion:When I first put in Intense I thought I had the band figured out and each song I realized I was wrong, It made me want to hear more and more. Just when you think they are just more of a high fueled band they up and do a massive ballad entitled Man in the Moon to just show how impressive the song writing is. Megasonic will appeal to such a wide audience from your Symphony X to Savatage fans to your Anthrax and Hammerfall fans. I think it really helps that the band is not just a band but are all multi instrument players and have been close friends for a many years. It is a headbanging riff heavy monster balanced full bore real deal kick ass album!!!!!!!!

Overall & Favorites:Future Shock, Bombs Away, Eye of the Storm. I give this multi riff way killer massive album a solid 8/10 for making it a extreme enjoyable listen!!!!

Label:AFM Records

Quality & Originality:Evergrey is back with the most outrageous over the top dark melodic power metal album of there career. Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Primal Fear) did a superior job of mixing this album. I am totally blown away with the depth of the guitars, bass, drums, keys and the crisp sound of the vocals on this release. Production wise hands down the best I have heard this year!! The songs are very much Evergrey but they have really dug deep and grown since there last release. I am so blown away on the journey that is taken on this album that will blast you into realms of unknown I have never quite heard on any album to date.

My Opinion:The band was to the point of calling it quits not long ago what would have been a total shame. The veterans of melodic have always brought there A game but they went out and really dug deep into there souls to bring out this amazing album that has more ups and downs then anything they have released to date. It is hard, light, soft, harsh, and very emotional in a dynamic way that is perfection I am willing to go as far as saying a total masterpiece!!! If you like anything from metal, prog, power, melodic and even thrash you have to pick this very powerful album up it will really inspire you in a musical way!!

Overall & Favorites:Black Undertow, King Of Errors, The Grand Collapse. I am doing something I have NEVER done in the entire time I have reviewed, radioed or talked about I give this powerful masterful album a 10/10

Hanoi Rocks,

Label:Flaco Music

Quality & Originality:The Dog Years is a great late 80's early 90's high energy rock n roll that has a great Guns N Roses/Slash guitar sound. There is a great bluesy feel on the songs that have amazing hooks and almost a bit of grunge at times. I love the song writing on this album it is straight forward and really easy to get into songs. The band has a original sound of great feeling songs that all rock lovers will enjoy and take a trip back to the good ol rock n roll days!

My Opinion:Los Angeles band Elegantly Wasted is back with there third album that really is a great trip for the ears. The good ol fashion rock n roll they deliver is such a great listen. I can hear such a tribute to bands like Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver, Foo Fighters but still keep there identity. This band has grown so much over the years from there first release and it really comes thru on this release. I love how the songs are arranged they have such a great straight forward full balanced fusion to them that generations of rockers have spent there entire career to get this sound that this band has nailed in such a short time!!

Overall & Favorites:Stolen Moments, Rising Sun, Love Is A Killer. I rate this rock n roll energetic album a solid 8/10 for taking me back to a time when bands knew how to play there instruments!!

Formed:2009

Genre:Heavy Metal

Label:Mighty Music/Target Group

Manager:Rock N Growl/Axel Wiesenauer

Quality & Originality:Scarred is a well written heavy metal masterpiece with amazing production. The songs have the guitar chugging that we all love in the genre but they have a brutal melodic overtone that takes them to a different plateau. Jackie has such a diverse voice that really allows the songs to take on a very full sounding feel. This is a great listen for you fans of thrash, metal, hardcore, industrial heads out there!!

My Opinion:Chainfist have really delivered on this album bringing a no nonsense in your face guitar shredding metal album that has that ''It'' factor to it. I love how at times it has a Priest or Maiden feel on the leads. What really impressed me is with all the rough edged heavy hitting music there is a magical song redone song called Black Rebel Noise acoustic version to show that they are not just a one trick pony band. This is one of the best metal albums I have heard this year that will make this band a house hold name in the metal community.

Overall & Favorites:Black Rebel Noise, Scars Of Time, Another Day In Hell. I give this album a 9/10 cause of the blistering heavy guitars, massive sound and bad ass singing of Jackie!!

Quality & Originality:It's About Time is a really great written blues, rock, R&B, classic rock, pop album that has so much depth from many levels. The songs have a great production and are very fluid that flow well with each song. I love how each song really stands on its own merit but Mykoman pays tribute to the musicians that have influenced him.

My Opinion:This is a great written album that has so many levels that if you love everything from disco to blues to rock you are going to find something you will love from this. The blues guitar filled songs have such a natural sound to them that really take this album to places I rarely hear in artists like this. Mykoman does not just write hook songs he writes songs that have so much soul and depth to them. I honestly cannot wait to see what is next for this artist cause it is going all up hill for Mykoman!!!!

Jakob Batten - Guitar
Ken Holst - Guitar
Kussen Jensen - Bass
Kim Jensen - Drums

Formed:1991

Genre:Death Metal

Label:Massacre Records

Quality & Originality:Denmark's veteran death metal royalty is back with there 13th album that reminds us why they have been one of the greatest in the genre all over Europe. I really like this album cause unlike so much other death metal the guitars, drums, bass and even vocals do not sound muddy and under drawn the music is extremely tight. Death metal usually has a base line where almost all albums sound very close to the same but Illdisposed is a band that broke out of that mold and it really shines on this album. The songs have a very melodic overtone that really brings this extreme brutal album together!!

My Opinion:If you are looking for a totally brutal album that will make you head bang and want to break stuff then you will love this album. The songs have this really heavy melodic tight feel that really drives this album. It is balls to the wall for the entire 12 songs with some of the coolest heavy guitars on the block that are extremely tight. Bo Summer has something about the way he sings that really does set this band apart from the rest of the pack in the death metal genre. Get ready to bust some skulls, jump around and fist pump till you feel something tear cause this over 20 year old band is not going anywhere!!!!!!

Overall & Favorites:Light In The Dark, Going Down, No More Devil To Show. I brutally give this extreme spine ripping album 8/10 for making me break a few lamps around my studio!!
